On Saturday, July 29, Boston Breach announced the signing of Kenyen "Capsidal" Sutton, who re-joined the team on a free transfer. The 20-year-old was previously a player of Boston Breach in 2022 and has since competed in Call of Duty Challengers (CDC) and spent a short stint with Los Angeles Thieves and Florida Mutineers.

With the signing of Capsidal, the Boston Breach have completed their roster rebuilding process, which started with the departure of four players, including Dylan "Nero" Koch, Reece "Vivid" Drost, Joseph "Owakening" Conley, and Kyle "Kremp" Haworth, who were let go at the end of June and throughout July.

Boston Breach decided for a major roster overhaul following a disappointing run through the Call of Duty League (CDL) 2023 season as the team failed to win a single event.

The Breach have produced two solid performances at CDL Major 2 Qualifiers (third) and Major 3 Qualifiers (second); however, their best performance at a Major was a fourth-place finish (CDL Major 3). The team finished the season with a fifth-sixth place at CDL Championship 2023 following rough losses against OpTic Texas (1-3) and Atlanta FaZe (1-3).

The lack of success ushered Boston Breach to hit a reset button, keeping Ben "Beans" McMellon as the only carryover from the 2023 season. But even though Boston Breach cut ties with four players, the team didn't struggle to find new faces to fill in the gaps.

Throughout the last few weeks, Boston Breach signed contracts with the reigning CDL champion Preston "Priestahh" Greiner and Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat and promoted Eric "Snoopy" Pérez from Boston Academy. But it wasn't until Saturday that Boston Breach found its final missing piece in Capsidal.

Capsidal has joined Boston Breach as a free agent after he was let go from Florida Mutineers, who he joined before the CDL 2023 Major 3 Qualifiers. With the Mutineers, the 20-year-old hasn't found much success and ended the year with a 10th-place finish at CDL Championship 2023.

Capsidal was previously on Boston Breach in 2022, when he helped the Breach through the first three stages of the season. Most notably, Capsidal led Boston Breach to a third-place finish at CDL 2022 Major 2, marking the team's best Major placement of that season.

With Capsidal's signing, Boston Breach now fields a complete roster for the CDL 2024 season.

Boston Breach 2024 CDL Roster:

  • Kenyen "Capsidal" Sutton
  • Preston "Priestahh" Greiner
  • Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat
  • Eric "Snoopy" Pérez
  • Ben "Beans" McMellon
