On Monday, May 20, 2024, Bulgarian Counter-Strike team 500 announced the signings of Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov and Blagoi "oxygeN" Dimitrov. The duo replaced Denislav "dennyslaw" Dimitrov and Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov.

The roster changes follow a streak of underwhelming results, during which 500 struggled to accomplish much in the Counter-Strike esports scene. Since the turn of the year, 500 have not left a lasting impression at all the events they've attended.

They have experienced some minor success so far in 2024, winning RES Season 6 early into the year, but have since managed mostly underwhelming results.

That includes a ninth-12th-place finish at YaLLa Compass Spring 2024 and a ninth-16th-place exit at HellCup #9 earlier this month. Still, their streak of iffy showings stretches way back, leading 500 to drop to no.109 on the global Counter-Strike ladder.

REDSTAR has already found a new home, having joined a new project called 5W. On the other side, dennyslaw has yet to announce where he'll end up and is currently exploring his options.

To replace the two players, 500 added CeRq who joins the Bulgarian squad from BLEED Esports, who he signed for in December 2023 after spending nearly a year without a team. The Bulgarian player failed to find much success with BLEED and hasn't shown the same level of individual performance as expected of him, which led to CeRq's departure from the squad.

OxygeN, on the other side, has spent most of 2023 playing with Entropiq, where he averaged a respectable 1.04 performance rating. However, the team found little success, leading to a major roster overhaul, which saw oxygeN finding himself on the chopping block.

The two new additions are set to debut for 500 at IESF World Esports Championship 2024: East European Qualifier at the start of June, where they'll compete for a spot at the ESF World Esports Championship 2024, set to take place in November 2024.
