According to recent reports, the 2025 Summer Counter-Strike 2 Major is set to take place in the United States. While yet to be confirmed, sources claim BLAST is targeting Austin, Texas, bringing the Major to the United States for the first time in seven years.

BLAST has yet to officially announce its plans for the 2025 Summer Counter-Strike 2 Major, but it’s expected that BLAST will reveal the news at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024, set to take place on June 12-16.

The speculation could prove to be true, as BLAST has recently announced that it has some secrets to reveal during the London event, including the format and the location of 2025 events.

As for the dates, it was already confirmed that the first Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2025 is scheduled for June 9-22. The second Major is set for December 1-14.

BLAST received a green light to organise one of the 2025 CS2 Majors after successfully hosting its first Major in 2023, the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 – which was the final Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major.

On the other side, the United States has hosted three Majors to date, including the MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016, ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, and ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018, which is mainly remembered for the dramatic final between FaZe Clan and Cloud9.

More information about the first CS2 Major of 2025 should become available next month – as expected during the BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024. The tournament will welcome eight CS2 teams, fighting for the lion’s share of the $425,000 prize pool and a direct invite to the BLAST World Final.
