On Sunday, May 12, 2024, BLEED Esports announced the signing of Tim "nawwk" Johansson and Koakim "jkaem" Myrbostad. The duo finalised BLEED Esports' new roster and found a new home shortly after their former organisation, Apeks, released them into free agency.

Nawwk and jkaem join BLEED Esports as former teammates at Apeks, where they played together since early 2022. Despite the long history with the Norwegian team, nawwk and jkaem were released from Apeks' lineup after Apeks announced it is initiating a roster rebuild in a bid to find more success.

The Swedish-Norwegian duo now join BLEED Esports, who like Apeks, were looking to rebuild their lineup following a streak of disappointing results. The team already made some moves in April, with the addition of Vladan "VLDN" Radević, but decided further changes were needed.

Nawwk and jkaem To The Rescue

The addition of nawwk and jkaem sees BLEED Esports change up its active Counter-Strike roster for the third time this year after the team failed to accomplish anything notable since it came together in December 2023.

As confirmed, the duo will replace Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov and VLDN, who only recently joined the team as a replacement for Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea. The Belgian AWPer, on the other side, has been a member of BLEED Esports since the team's inception in December.

"Hampus and I together believe that these two players are gonna take our game to the next level, especially because he worked with Tim before, and I have a long-standing successful relationship with Jod," said BLEED Esports coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović.

Signing nawwk and jkaem is a huge boost for BLEED Esports. They were two of the most consistent performers on Apeks, averaging a 1.11 and 1.13 performance rating, respectively. Unfortunately, they've not won much with Apeks, but will have a chance to turn things around with BLEED Esports, who, since the team's inception, were aiming high.

BLEED Esports are currently ranked no.38 in the global Counter-Strike standings, a few spots lower from the team's peak at no.32 in mid-April.

Nawwk and jkaem will debut for BLEED Esports in the quarterfinals of the Elisa Invitational Spring 2024 on Wednesday, May 15, when BLEED Esports will face off against Gaimin Gladiators.
