On Tuesday, January 23, FaZe Clan announced it has signed a team with a crypto casino, Rollbit. The multi-million dollar deal sees Rollbit become an official sponsor of FaZe Clan's Counter-Strike 2 team.

Rollbit is a well-known online crypto casino and cryptocurrency trading platform. Launched in 2020 on the Ethereum blockchain, the company has since grown to have a global presence in the crypto gambling market.

Rollbit has recently signed a massive partnership with an Italian football club, SSC Napoli, and has now expanded its reach into esports with a deal with North American esports organisation FaZe Clan.

As confirmed by the two companies, the Rollbit – FaZe Clan deal will focus exclusively outside of the United States, likely because Rollbit doesn't have a gambling licence in the US. The deal comes after GameSquare announced it had acquired FaZe Clan in October 2023, but unlike the Rollbit deal, this has yet to be finalised.

FaZe Clan and Rollbit have not disclosed any financial details of the partnership or its duration. However, FaZe Clan president Erik Anderson stated that it is one of the largest sponsorship deals in esports and Counter-Strike.

"We believe this marks one of the largest sponsorship deals in the history of Counter-Strike and esports, as brands like Rollbit look for new ways to connect with large, highly engaged global audiences."

"Today's historic announcement not only demonstrates our shared commitment to competition and excellence, but also ensures a strong and enduring program for our fans. We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with Rollbit."

Head of Partnerships at Rollbit, Sam Norman, shared his thoughts on the deal, stating that Rollbit is excited to partner with the current no.1 team in the world, and that the crypto casino is looking forward to joining FaZe Clan's global audience of over 500 million followers.

According to the announcement, Rollbit will work exclusively with FaZe Clan's Counter-Strike team and not with many other esports teams under the banner, including R1, Rainbow Six Siege, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, FIFA, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Halo, and Call of Duty.

That is likely due to the fact that most other teams primarily compete in North American leagues – Halo, Call of Duty – where Rollbit doesn't operate.
