FaZe Clan vs Monte Predictions

FaZe Clan and Monte will meet on Tuesday, May 7, in the first round of ESL Pro League Season 19 Playoffs. The two teams last met in October 2023 when FaZe Clan won, and according to the esports betting odds, they should win again.

Counter-Strike bookmakers have FaZe Clan priced as 1.20 favourites to defeat Monte, who enter the match as 4.33 underdogs. Considering FaZe’s status as the current no.1 Counter-Strike team in the world; that price sounds fair, granted FaZe Clan have shown some cracks in the group stage.

  • FaZe Clan qualified for the playoffs through the mid bracket
  • Monte secured a playoff spot by the skin of their teeth
  • FaZe (#1) are higher ranked than Monte (#26)

Head to Head

Monte and FaZe Clan have yet to meet this year.

FaZe Clan Form

FaZe Clan didn’t manage to win Group A, following a shock 0-2 loss to Astralis. But besides that defeat, FaZe Clan haven’t looked bad.

They crushed Imperial Esports, took care of business against Virtus.pro (2-0), and defeated Eternal Fire (2-1) in the final match of the mid bracket to reach the playoffs.

Despite looking relatively shaky, FaZe Clan remain one of the main favourites to win ESL Pro League Season 19, which is reasonable considering they’re the current no.1 Counter-Strike esports team in the world. But to make it past Natus Vincere and Team Vitality, FaZe Clan will have to show a bit more than what they did in the group stage.

FaZe Clan Squad & Team News

No changes for FaZe Clan.

Monte Form

Monte weren’t expected to make it very far at ESL Pro League Season 19, and still, they reached the playoffs. That’s a commendable accomplishment, yet their road so far was anything but smooth.

In the ESL Pro League Season 19 group stage, Monte won their first match against FORZE (2-0), then lost to Team Liquid (0-2) and ENCE (0-2)l, and bounced back in the lower bracket with two three-map victories against FORZE and FURIA

Both series were incredibly close, which tells a lot about how good Monte are and it puts a question mark above Monte’s chances to stand their ground against FaZe Clan.

Monte Squad & Team News

No changes for Monte.

  • Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletnjuk
  • Serghij "DemQQ" Demchenko
  • Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek
  • Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen
  • Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas

FaZe Clan have had a few underwhelming showings over the last two months, but overall, FaZe have been incredibly consistent, especially in beating weaker opponents. And on top of it, FaZe Clan have done well against some of the world’s top teams.

Monte can have their moments and have before put up a fight against a superior team. But they’ve not looked good in the group stage and definitely don’t look ready to face FaZe Clan.
