FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 is an upcoming Counter-Strike LAN esports tournament and one of the first Counter-Strike 2 events. It’ll mark the second iteration of the tournament, which will kick off on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Camp Nou, Barcelona, and conclude on Sunday, November 12.

As one of the first Counter-Strike 2 events, FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 promises to be a fairly unpredictable tournament; however, while the transition to a new game version will lead to a shakeup in the balance of power and likely many upsets, the esports betting sites have made it very clear which squads should do well in Barcelona.

Virtus.pro (2.25) are priced as the main favourites to win FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, which, a month ahead of the tournament kick-off, sounds fair. They’re the current highest-rated team of all participating squads, with decent results behind them.

Virtus.pro made quarterfinals at Gamers8 2023 and runners-up at Dunav Party LAN. However, in late September, VP also produced a stinker at ESL Pro League Season 18, where they placed 13th-16th. Not the most inspiring result; however, due to Virtus.pro’s success earlier this season, they deserve some respect.

Fnatic (4.00) are priced as second-favourites to win FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, even though this team hasn’t won much recently. Before the summer break, Fnatic placed top-nine at IEM Rio 2023 and BLAST.tv Paris Major; however, since then, they’ve not accomplished a lot.

Early exits from IEM Dallas 2023 (13th-16th) and IEM Cologne 2023 (ninth-12th), followed by a ninth-16th-place finish at Gamer8 2023, is all Fnatic have to show for. They also failed to look good at ESL Pro League Season 18 (13th-16th); however, despite their lackluster results, Fnatic still field better players than most teams attending FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023.

Movistar Riders (5.50) could do some damage at FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, even though they’ve not won much recently. In September, Movistar Riders won RTP Arena Cup 2023 and then placed fifth-eighth at ESL Pro League before crashing out of BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023.

Those are not the most convincing results, but it’s not like Movistar Riders looked terrible. Much like many other teams attending FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, Movistar haven’t won any big events, but they looked fairly decent for their standards.

SAW (5.50) are considered just as likely to win FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 as Movistar Riders. They made the semifinals of the RTP Arena Cup and finals of the Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #2, and in early October, claimed another silver medal from Aveiro Techdays Cup 2023. The latter was a CS2 event, so unlike most other teams at FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, SAW got some practice on the new game version.

9z Team (11.00) are priced as outsiders to win FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, which is hardly surprising. The Argentinian team has looked good domestically, and they even made the semifinals at ESL Challenger Katowice 2023 in June; however, in bigger events, 9z haven’t looked great.

That might not mean much, however, since FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 hardly features any elite squads. Still, 9z have a lot more to prove before they’ll be considered strong contenders for any A-Tier tournaments.

Imperial Esports (19.00) have hit a rough stretch recently and haven’t looked even remotely good in their recent tournament appearances. Since reaching the semifinals of BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023, Imperial have not shown much, although they deserve some slack since Imperial have attended mostly bigger events.

BESTIA (34.00) are complete outsiders to win FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 and it’s hard to argue with that. The Argentinian squad has yet to appear in an A-Tier tournament this year, and while they have looked good in some lesser events, BESITA have only found success in regional tournaments.

FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 is a chance for BESTIA to test their strength against international opposition, and while they might surprise, it’s hard to believe that BESTIA have a realistic chance to go all the way.

paiN Gaming (41.00) are priced as the biggest outsiders attending FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, mainly due to the recent departures from the roster, which left paiN deprived of many great players. However, while paiN Gaming changed a few of its players, the team has looked decent in some lesser domestic tournaments.

paiN Gaming are definitely not the strongest team at FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023, but they might be a bit underestimated at the offered betting odds.

FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2023 is set to kick off on November 8 and conclude on November 12, 2023.
