On Tuesday, January 9, FlyQuest RED have announced the departure of Kelsie "uhKelsie" Click and Marissa "madss" Dasta. The American Counter-Strike duo leave the team following lackluster results at the end of 2023, when FlyQuest crashed out of ESL Impact League Season 4 Finals in seventh-eighth place.

The departure of madss and uhKelse marks FlyQuest RED's first roster change since the team came together in June 2023, with the signing of uhKelse, madss, Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie, Vivienne "BiBiAhn" Quach, and Coline "Kaoday" Le Floc'h.

Since the formation of the roster, FlyQuest RED have accomplished a lot, especially domestically. The team have won three consecutive titles in the North American ESL Impact League and cemented their status as the best female Counter-Strike team in the region.

However, internationally, FlyQUest RED's results left a lot to be desired.

Even though the female players reached the semifinals of ESL Impact League Season 3 Finals, they've not accomplished much elsewhere and looked particularly disappointing in the finals season, where FlyQuest RED exited the tournament with a 0-2 loss against HSG.

FlyQuest RED's only other accomplishments of 2023 included winning ESL Impact League Season 4: North American Division and Super Girl Gamer Pro 2023. On the other hand, they've suffered early exits from the last ESL Impact League, Thunderpick World Championship 2023: North American Series #1 (13th-20th), and ESEA Season 45: Main Division - North America (seventh-eighth).

With the departure of uhKelsie and madss, FlyQuest RED are now left with just three players on the active roster. The team have yet to announce who'll fill the missing gaps; however, FlyQuest RED have two months to make the decision before the ESL Impact League Season 5 North America, which is set to kick off on March 6, 2024.

On a more positive note, FlyQuest RED will have plenty of options when looking for replacements following the disbandment of Evil Geniouses Gold, which left five players without a home.

Those include Tilde "7licious" Bystrom, Long "PiggyKiki" Kiki, Kiara "m1lky" Makua, Juliana "Juli" Tosic, and Vanessa "vanessa" Gideon, neither of whom have yet to find a new home since leaving Evil Geniuses.
