On Friday, May 24, Rigon “rigoN” Gashi announced that he is leaving Guild Eagles after nearly two years. Shortly after, his former teammates Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi and Genc “gxx.” Kolgeci also came out to say they’re parting ways with the lineup.

The news of the departure of three Guild Eagles Counter-Strike esports players effectively sees the team disband, leaving the lineup with just two active members. This also sees the former Bad News Eagles roster part ways after competing together for over two years.

The departure of three players comes shortly after the organisation, Guild Esports, announced that they will no longer be affiliated with the team.

The Kosovar Counter-Strike roster, which is mostly know for competing under Bad News Eagles banner, made a huge splash in the CS esports scene in 2022. As an unknown team, they qualified for PGL Major Antwerp and made it all the way to the Legends Stage.

After putting their name on the map, Bad News Eagles attended two more Counter-Strike Majors: Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2022 and Paris Major 2023. However, they never reached the playoff stage.

Following a streak of promising results, Bad News Eagles got signed to Guild Esports organisation in November 2023 and rebranded to Guild Eagles. However, since joining Guild, the Kosovar squad haven’t accomplished much.

At the start of the year, Guild Eagles missed the PGL Major Copenhagen with a third-place finish at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR Decider. Since then, they’ve attended several qualifiers and lesser, B-Tier tournaments, but haven’t won nor come close to winning a single one.

The departure of rigoN, juanflatroo, and gxx- effectively disbands Guild Eagles who were slated to attend RES Adriatic League Season 4 and RES Season 7.
