On Tuesday, November 14, Guild Esports announced it had acquired the Bad News Eagles Counter-Strike roster. The deal sees the Kosovar squad acquire organisational support for the first time since the team’s inception almost two years ago.

Guild Esports signing Bad News Eagles roster marks a big deal, both for the UK-based esports organisation and the roster, who will finally receive proper organisational backing after trying to make a name for themselves since the team came together in February 2022.

Consisting of Flatron "juanflatroo" Halimi, Sener "SENER1" Mahmuti, Rigon "rigoN" Gashi, Genc "gxx-" Kolgeci, and Dionis "sinnopsyy" Budeci, Bad News Eagles have found some success together, and attended three Counter-Strike Majors and made the Legends stage in all three of them, proving themselves as one of the most exciting underdogs in the CS world.

Unfortunately, Bad News Eagles have never managed to win a Big Event – something the Kosovar squad will look to change now that they have proper backing from an esports organisation.

"With the release of CS2, we realized that there was no better time for us to increase our presence in Counter-Strike. The trajectory of the Bad News Eagles roster has been inspirational and embodies the attitude that we value here at Guild Esports – we can’t wait to support them on their journey in CS2.”

Besides signing the entire lineup, Guild Esports also acquired assistant coach Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend and coach Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg, who will continue to lead the team under the Guild Esports banner.

Guild Esports will debut its male Counter-Strike roster on Thursday, November 16, during CCT East Europe Series 4, where they’ll face off against Team Space in the Round of 16.
