Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024 is the first Big Event of the Counter-Strike 2 2024 season, set to kick off on Wednesday, January 31, welcoming 24 of the world’s best teams, competing for the lion’s share of the $1 million prize pool.

Who are IEM Katowice 2024 Favourites?

The event will begin with the Play-In stage, where 16 Counter-Strike teams will fight for a spot in the group stage, which gets underway on February 3. Eight advancing teams from the Play-in stage will join eight directly invited teams in a battle for a playoff ticket.

IEM Katowice 2024 playoffs will be played in the Spodek Arena, which will host the entirety of the knockout stage and a best-of-five grand final where the two top teams will fight for a $400,000 winner’s share and a direct invite to IEM Cologne 2024.

The list of participating teams includes all of the top-10 rated squads on the Counter-Strike global ladder, including the current no.1 team, Team Vitality, FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, and MOUZ.

The tournament will begin with a 16-team Play-in stage, where the squads will play a best-of-one series followed by best-of-three matches throughout the entire stage. The top eight teams from the Play-in stage will join eight directly invited teams in the group stage.
