On Thursday, October 19, BLAST announced that BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 will take place at OVO Arena Wembley in London, England. The event is slated to take place from June 12-16, 2024 and will have a $425,000 prize pool.

On Thursday, BLAST announced that it has teamed up with Live Nation – one of the world’s largest live entertainment companies - and business growth and destination agency London & Partners to bring BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 to London, England.

The new partnership “forms part of BLAST’s ambition to create the best esports experiences by working closely with destinations and the biggest and best live entertainment partners,” as the tournament organiser hosts its first Counter-Strike event in England.

“The event will bring the world’s best esports teams and players from all across the world to compete in London - four years since BLAST’s last event in the United Kingdom’s capital with the city’s second-largest indoor venue set to host Counter-Strike’s elite.

The announcement aligns with London & Partners’ ambition to position England’s capital as a global hub for leading esports and gaming events in the future. The UK currently has an 8% share of the global esports industry, which is set to reach $1.6 billion by the end of this year.”

OVO Arena Wembley had previously hosted the Championship Stage of the FACEIT Major in 2018 when Astralis won the organisation’s second Counter-Strike Major in front of 12,000 fans.

BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 will welcome eight Counter-Strike teams who’ll fight for the lion’s share of a $425,000 prize pool. The format and other details remain unknown, but it’s fair to assume that BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 will follow the same format as previous BLAST Premier events.

Tickets for the tournament will be available on Live Nation for the final three days of the event, with the presale starting on October 25 and the general sale on Friday, October 27, 2023.
