Nawwk Renews Contract With Apeks

On Friday, December 1, Tim “nawwk” Jonasson announced he had extended his contract with Apeks until 2026. With the deal, the Swedish Counter-Strike player extended his stay with Apeks to five years, having joined the team in December 2021.
Nawwk was last month included in rumours of a full-Swedish Counter-Strike roster, which would include former Ninjas in Pyjamas in-game leader Hampus “hampus” Poser. However, as confirmed on Friday, the rumours proved to be false, as the 26-year-old Swede decided to extend his stay with Apeks.
Nawwk joined Apeks in December 2021 and has since played with various iterations of the roster, which went through s few roster changes in 2023 alone. With Apeks, he has accomplished a lot and won several Counter-Strike tournaments throughout this year alone.
However, his most notable accomplishment of 2023 was reaching the semifinals of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, where Apeks lost against the eventual champions, Team Vitality.
Star Sniper Extends His Contract For Two Years
Since he joined Apeks in December 2021, nawwk has established himself as one of the key players on the roster. Over the two years, he has averaged a 1.14 performance rating, 1.13 over the last three months and 1.03 against top-5 opponents.
"We have worked for quite some time negotiating with Tim and his agent to extend his contract, and we are super excited to finally have reached an agreement," said Apeks' Head of Esports, Anders Kjær.
"nawwk’s outstanding skills and unwavering commitment harmonize perfectly with the values we hold dear at Apeks. This extension signifies our confidence in his ability to play a pivotal role in shaping our path forward and contributing to the achievements that lie ahead."
By re-signing with Apeks, nawwk has committed the next two years of his esports career with the Swedish squad, which has recently made the playoffs of Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 with wins against MOUZ and FURIA Esports.
