On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Ninjas in Pyjamas announced the signing of Ukrainian Counter-Strike player Arten "r1nkle" Moroz. The AWPer joins the team as a part of the ongoing roster rebuild, which started in February when Ninjas in Pyjamas benched three players.

R1nkle's signing comes just a couple of weeks after Ninjas in Pyjamas announced the addition of Max "maxster" Jansson from the organisation's academy Counter-Strike roster, with the two young players joining Frederik "REZ" Sterner and Alejandro "alex" Masanet.

The announcement of r1nkle's arrival was made minutes before his debut match against Monte in the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier, where Ninjas in Pyjamas are competing for a ticket for the $100,000 Swedish tournament.

The 19-year-old joins Ninjas in Pyjamas from B8, who he joined in August 2021 and was the starting player of the roster ever since. During his time at B8, r1nkle has made a name for himself as a promising AWPer, and found himself under the spotlight following his impressive performance at the Paris Major Europe RMR in 2023.

Since then, r1nkle has continued posting great individual performances, even after the switch to Counter-Strike 2, averaging a 1.15 performance rating on the game's new version. However, he has yet to be given a chance to play a LAN CS2 event.

Since the turn of the year, r1nkle has appeared in just one tournament - RES Eastern European Masters: Spring 2024 - where he helped Ninjas in Pyjamas reach the semifinals. With B8, he also appeared in a handful of qualifiers; however, he failed to find much success and recently crashed out of Skyesports Masters 2024: European Qualifier.

"As we said when CS2 came out, new players will rise, and old players will drop off. I saw the exact same thing happen between 1.6 and CS:GO. Now, more than 6 months after the release and a crazy major cycle later, we're very happy about this signing strategy. It allowed us to take it easy and decide on going for talents like r1nkle. He has everything needed to be one of the best, and we will do everything to help him get there."

In his debut game for Ninjas in Pyjamas, r1nkle helped the team defeat Monte, averaging the highest rating on the server at 1.31 and 1.76 on the decisive map.

With the addition of r1nkle, Ninjas in Pyjamas now field four active players on their Counter-Strike roster, needing just one more member to finalise the roster rebuild.
