On Thursday, April 18, OG announced Lambert “Lambert” Prigent as the new head coach of the Counter-Strike division. Lambert was promoted after spending the last three months as an assistant coach.

Lambert joined OG as assistant coach in January 2024, shortly after ending his four-month stint as assistant coach at TSM. Since then, Lambert has worked under Casper “ruggah” Due, helping OG place top-four at BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024.

The 32-year-old will now take over for ruggah, who left OG to join Astralis on March 1. Since then, OG have been playing without a head coach, with Lambert serving as a replacement. But it wasn’t until today that he officially received his job title.

Along with announcing Lambert as the new OG Counter-Strike head coach, the European esports organisation also revealed the addition of Adrien "killazoo" Legarda from 3DMAX as a new assistant coach.

The 27-year-old has served as a head coach of 3DMAX since November 2023, having previously spent six months at the helm of Looking4Org (ex-HEET lineup). As head coach of the French team, killazoo hasn’t won any major events, but he helped the team peak at no.24 in the global CS rankings.

Despite the announcements of new coaches, OG’s Counter-Strike roster still lacks a permanent AWPer following the benching of Iulian “regali” Harjau earlier this month. Since then, OG have been playing with Madalin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea, who still serves as a temporary stand-in.

As confirmed, MoDo will continue playing for OG in the upcoming Global Esports Tour Rio 2024; however, it remains to be seen whether he’ll get a permanent spot on the roster.

Lambert will debut as a head coach of OG today, in the first round of Global Esports Tour Rio 2024, when OG will clash with MIBR in the opening round of the tournament.
