According to recent reports, Danish Counter-Strike coach Allan "Rejin" Petersen is close to joining TSM. At TSM, Rejin will replace Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam, who left the team in October to rejoin Team Vitality.

While the deal has yet to be officially announced, the 36-year-old has reportedly already reached an agreement with the North American esports organisation and is expected to be announced as a new head coach soon. Signing Rejin would make a lot of sense for TSM, who have been without a coach since XTQZZZ's departure in October 2023, whereas Rejin has been out of job since November.

Rejin has been without a job since he was released from his role as Sports Director at Sashi last month amid the team's reconstruction of its management. Prior to joining Sashi Esports, Rejin served as manager of MAD Lions and analyst and coach for Entropiq.

Rejin is mostly known for his role as a head coach for mousesports (now MOUZ), with who he won numerous big events, including Europe Minor Championship - Berlin 2019 and ESL Pro League Season 10 – Finals. However, despite his success with mousesports, Rejin was let go from the team due to receiving a ban from ESIC for exploiting the notorious coach spectator bug.

Initially, Rejin received a five-major ban, and in September, he successfully appealed his ESIC demerit points down from eight to five, again allowing him to coach at CS Majors after PGL Major Copenhagen.

TSM' Shaky Return To Counter-Strike

TSM re-entered the Counter-Strike scene in September 2023 after seven years. However, they've not found much success in the first three months.

Since September, TSM have attended five tournaments and won just one – ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Autumn 2023 #3 – whereas they've found little to no success at any bigger event. At the start of November, TSM crashed out of YaLLa Compass Fall 2023 in 21st-23rd place and a week later exited CCT Online Finals #4 in seventh-eighth.

Since re-entering the CS scene, TSM have not made any roster changes but parted ways with coach XTQZZZ, who left the team on October 7 after he agreed to re-join Team Vitality. Since then, TSM have been playing without a coach, which might explain their poor results.

With Rejin at the helm, TSM can hope they'll find more success in the following months. But considering TSM decided on Rejin as a new head coach, it's clear that the team doesn't plan to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen, set to take place in March-May 2024.
