On Monday, January 15, 2024, MOUZ announced that Counter-Strike head coach Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen renewed his contract with the organisation. The deal sees sycrone extend his stay with MOUZ; he joined in June 2021 as a head coach of MOU NXT.

The Dane was initially head coach of MOUZ's academy Counter-Strike roster, who he led to two WePlay Academy League titles in Season 1 and 2. Shortly after his successful stint with MOUZ NXT, sycrone got promoted to the main team, where he has remained as the head coach since January 2022.

With MOUZ's main lineup, sycrone has accomplished a lot. He led MOUZ to a silver medal at Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022 and ended the year with a semifinal appearance at Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022.

Throughout 2023, MOUZ continued posting solid results; however, they couldn't deliver at Paris Major 2023, where they crashed out in 23rd-24th-place. Following a rough showing in France, MOUZ bounced back with another Big Event silver medal from Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023, to which they added a silver medal from Elisa Invitational Spring 2023.

By the end of the year, sycrone helped MOUZ to another big trophy at ESL Pro League Season 18, as well as a grand final appearance at CS Asia Championship and two semifinal runs at IEM Sydney 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023.

Sycrone was nominated as one of the top three Counter-Strike coaches of 2023. He lost the title to Danny "zonic" Sørensen and finished behind Eetu "sAw" Saha.

"I've renewed with MOUZ because they offer the best possible conditions. When we were in talks about my contract, I raised a few concerns or demands around the team, and we talked a lot about how we can create the setup that I envisioned for the team."

"We really want to stay within the top three throughout the year and, at one point, reach the number one on HLTV. We want to give our everything to try and make a major win possible, and I think it would be stupid in our position to not try and aim for that."

It's unclear for how long sycrone has extended his contract for; however, it's official that he will remain with MOUZ for at least until the end of 2024.
