On Wednesday, November 1, Team Vitality registered British Counter-Strike player William “mezii” Merriman to its lineup. Mezii will play for Team Vitality at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023, likely as a replacement for Emil “Magisk” Reif.

Team Vitality announced that the team had registered mezii in their lineup for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 amid transfer talks between Magisk and Team Falcons. Even though nothing has yet to be officially confirmed, Magisk has reportedly already agreed on a transfer, forcing Vitality to find a replacement player for the upcoming tournament.

Mezii is currently still signed with Fnatic, who are – like many other CS teams – reportedly in the process of swapping out a few pieces of its roster. However, even though sources have stated that mezii’s transfer to Vitality has already been made, Fnatic have yet to officially announce any changes, nor has the organisation commented on mezii’s transfer to Team Vitality.

This is just one of many roster changes that have been announced in the Counter-Strike world recently. The ongoing roster mania, which has led to more questions and answers, will likely lead to at least a dozen roster swaps, including several high-profile teams such as Heroic, Cloud9, Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, and FaZe Clan.

Heroic, who recently lost three of its players, has registered Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 in what is possibly a more long-term solution for the team. Likewise, Cloud9 have recently acquired Kiril “Boombl4” Mikhailov on loan, but he could be added to the lineup on a permanent basis as a replacement for Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov.

Ninjas in Pyjamas are said to be in advanced talks with Movistar Riders’ Alejandro “alex” Masanet, who is said to join the team in the coming weeks – rather at the end of his contract with the Spanish outfit, whereas NaVi have signed Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov as a replacement for Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev who announced he was taking a break from pro play last month.
