Thomas Re-Joins Into the Breach

On Tuesday, December 19, Into the Breach announced the return of Thomas “Thomas” Utting, who has spent the last six months on the team’s bench. Thomas played his last official match with Into the Breach in August 2023, at Polska Liga Esportowa Superpuchar 2023.

As confirmed by Into the Breach, Thomas will replace Tomasz “Tomiko” Uroda on the active roster and resume his duties as an in-game leader. With Thomas back on ITB’s Counter-Strike roster, the team now fields three players who participated at the BLAST.tv Paris Major and meets the requirements for getting an invite to the European Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament.

Thomas stepped down from Into the Breach’s active roster not long after the team’s impressive run to the quarterfinals at BLAST.tv Paris Major. At the time, he stated that he would take a break and focus on himself and getting his individual performance back.

Thomas stepping down from the team came at an unfortunate time for ITB, who had already lost Sebastian “volt” Malos and Cai “CYPHER” Watson and released Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar.

Since then, ITB have struggled to accomplish much and had a rough run early into the Counter-Strike 2 era. However, the squad have found some success here and there, including a title run at CCT East Europe Series #4 and a fourth-place finish at CCT Online Finals #4 in November.

With Thomas back on the roster, ITB now field the same core that made a splash at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, as well as two new additions, Kevin “misutaaa” Rabier and Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras, who joined the team in July and September, respectively.

Into The Breach Get Invited To Europe’s RMRs

Earlier today, PGL announced 11 European Counter-Strike teams who got invited to the European Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament for the PGL Major Stockholm 2024. The invites were handed out to all teams who reached the Legends Stage of the Paris Major, with a requirement that the teams have to field at least three players from their Paris Major run.

At the time of the announcement, Into the Breach fielded just two, Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel and Karol "rallen" Rodowicz; however, as it seems, ITB confirmed to PGL that the team will re-add Thomas to the active lineup.
