Twistzz Is Reportedly Re-Joining Team Liquid

Team Liquid is looking to rebuild its Counter-Strike roster following a streak of disappointing showings, and the process has already started. On October 3, Team Liquid benched Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov and are said to have parted ways with coach Damian "daps" Steele to make room for Wilton "zews" Prado as the new head coach.

Besides the coaching changes, Liquid is looking to strengthen its roster, with Twistzz reportedly close to signing the deal. Liquid are also in talks with former Heroic in-game leader Casper "cadiaN" Møller, who might be the second new signing for Liquid.

The rumours were made more believable after Team Liquid allowed Josh "oSee" Ohm to explore his options; however, nothing has yet to be finalised.

If Twistzz joins Team Liquid, he will return to the team after over two years. The 23-year-old rifler was a member of Liquid between 2017 and 2020 and was a part of the 2019 roster, which dominated the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene and won five consecutive Big Events to claim the Intel Grand Slam.

Twistzz left Liquid in January 2021 to pursue new opportunities and joined FaZe Clan, where he established himself as a key member of the team and would go on to add a few more bit trophies to his resume. Most recently, Twistzz led FaZe Clan to the title of IEM Sydney 2023 champions.

If the rumoured moves come to fruition, Team Liquid would again be an Americas-majority roster, meaning the team will participate in the Americas RMR for next year's PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen.
