Virtus.pro vs Fnatic Predictions

Counter-Strike bookmakers have Fnatic priced as 2.75 underdogs and Virtus.pro as 1.40 favourites for the rematch. Even though Fnatic won the first meeting earlier this week, Virtus.pro have looked improved in their last two outings, which explains why they’re expected to get their revenge.

  • Virtus.pro are fresh off a 0-2 loss against FaZe Clan
  • Fnatic have recently lost to Eternal Fire
  • Virtus.pro seek revenge

Head to Head

Fnatic and Virtus.pro last met in the first round of ESL Pro League Season 19 Group A, when Fnatic won.

  • Fnatic 2-1 Virtus.pro – April 23, 2024

Virtus.pro Form

After losing their opening series of ESL Pro League Season 19 against Fnatic, Virtus.pro bounced back with a convincing 2-0 sweep of SAW in the mid bracket. However, they couldn’t make it further.

In the second round, Virtus.pro faced off against the current no.1 team in the world, FaZe Clan, who beat them 2-0, pushing the Russian squad down into the lower bracket, where they’ll fight for survival.

Losing against FaZe Clan isn’t too worrying, but Virtus.pro lost that match badly, with 10-13, 4-13, proving they’re not fit to compete against the world’s top teams.

Virtus.pro Squad & Team News

Fnatic Form

Fnatic had a fantastic start to ESL Pro League Season 19. They upset Virtus.pro 2-1 but then fumbled their chance to secure a direct promotion to the playoffs with a humiliating loss to 3DMAX (0-2), to which they added another 1-2 defeat against Eternal Fire in the previous round.

So far, Fnatic’s only notable performance was beating the unprepared VP. Still, they deserve some praise for playing a close series with Eternal Fire who are not a weak team. But after seeing Fnatic lose to 3DMAX, it’s fair to question whether they can stand up against VP and defeat them again.

Fnatic Squad & Team News

Fnatic have not made any changes.

  • Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson
  • Aurélien "afro" Drapier
  • Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro
  • Matúš "matys" Šimko
  • Can "kyuubii" Ali

Fnatic defeated Virtus.pro in their first meeting of the tournament, but they aren’t expected to do as well in the rematch. That’s not shocking as Virtus.pro entered that game unprepared and have since posted much better performances.

Fnatic, on the other hand, lost to 3DMAX and Eternal Fire, which is far from great. Admittedly, Virtus.pro are still not playing at 100%, so while they’ll probably win, this has the potential to be another close series.
