Saudi Arabian esports organisation YaLLa Esports announced a new tournament series.
Named Compass 2024, the new tournament will have a $400,000 prize pool.
The event will be based in Dubai, UAE, and welcome 12 teams

On Friday, October 13, YaLLa Esports organisation announced a new esports tournament series named Compass. The tournament will begin in June 2024 as a LAN event in Dubai, UAE, and welcome 12 Counter-Strike 2 teams.

The new Counter-Strike tournament will have a $400,000 prize pool for the LAN finals, set to take place on June 5-9, 2024, and $25,000 for each of the two qualifiers (European Series #1 and #2), which will run on October 16 – December 14, 2023, and January 15 – May 2, 2024.

The two qualifying events will promote two teams to the $400,000 LAN finals. Nine teams will secure a spot at Compass 2024 through invites, and one spot will be awarded to the winner of the MENA Championship.

As confirmed by tournament organisers, the LAN finals will start with two best-of-one (Bo1) round-robin groups of six teams, with the top three teams from each group advancing to a single-elimination progressive playoff bracket.

Four teams will be seeded into the first round, while the remaining two will await the victors in the semi-finals, suggesting that the top two teams from the group stage will receive a direct bye to the semi-finals.
