On Thursday, January 11, Tundra Esports announced the addition of Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, who joined the European Dota 2 team from BetBoom Team. Pure has only joined on a loan, after Tundra failed to find a fifth player before the start of the 2024 season.

Tundra Esports went through quite a turbulent period over the last month. At the start of January, the team released their entire lienup, including Enzo "Timado" Gianoli, Jonathan Bryle "Bryle" De Guia, Ilyas "kasane" Gainullin, Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi, and coach David "MoonMeander" Tan.

This left Tundra with just two active players; however, the European side didn't need long to find replacements.

Last week, Tundra announced the signing of Edgar "9Class" Naltakian. Two days later Tundra unveiled Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov as the newest member, and now, the team finalised the lineup with Cure.

Pure With A Chance To Prove Himself

Pure is a fairly inexperienced Dota 2 pro, who started his esports career in November 2021 with Virtus.pro. He has since played for Entity and BetBoom Team, who benched the Russian pro at the end of December.

Despite being in the pro scene for just over two years, Pure has accomplished a lot. He had a strong start to his career with Virtus.pro and found new heights as a part of BetBoom Team.

With the Russian Dota 2 squad, Pure won DPC EEU 2023 Tour 1: Division I and placed second in Tour 3: Division I and DreamLeague Season 20. He also found some success in other international events, placing third in DreamLeague Season 21, top-six at Riyadh Masters 2023 and The International 2023, and ended the 2023 season with a fourth-place finish at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Now, after getting benched from BetBoom Team, Pure has a chance to prove himself at Tundra Esports and potentially secure a more permanent contract with the European roster.
