League of Legends bookmakers have Invictus Gaming priced as 1.28 favourites to defeat EDward Gaming who are priced as 3.50 underdogs. Considering IG has won three times as many games this split, the odds don't sound too wrong; however, we must consider that both teams are flawed.

After a 0-6 start to the LPL 2024 Spring split, EDward Gaming have found some success recently and won two of their last four series against Anyone's Legend and Rare Atom. Although beating two weak teams isn't something to celebrate, it's still an improvement.

In the two losses EDG have suffered over that stretch, they played well and took a map from Oh My God on Thursday, although they were not nearly as successful against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Seeing EDward Gaming go 2-2 over the last couple of weeks is exciting. Still, it doesn't change the fact that this is one of the weakest teams LoL in the league and until they start producing consistent performances, EDG won't be competing for a strong finish.

Invictus Gaming had a fairly easy start to the season but then took down Bilibili Gaming, proving to everyone that they're the real deal. However, after, IG lost to Team WE, and they didn't look too great against LGD Gaming, so you can't really say where they belong.

IG have had their good and shaky moments this split and have overall been very inconsistent. One day, they'll look like one of the best teams in the league, only to struggle to beat a weaker opponent. One thing IG have been consistent in, however, is their early game.

This comes with an asterisk, as we've seen them produce very questionable performances early recently, but average stat-wise, Invictus Gaming are in a good spot.

Invictus Gaming have shown much higher highs this season than EDward Gaming, and even though EDG have shown some pulse recently, they're still one of the weakest teams in the league. IG rank somewhere in the middle as a team that have done well against much stronger opponents but also almost blundered against teams of similar quality as EDward Gaming.

This should be a straightforward win for Invictus Gaming, but I've seen enough inconsistency from them to believe EDward Gaming have a chance to win a map.
