League of Legends bookmakers have Hanwha Life Esports priced as 1.45 favourites to defeat KT Rolster, who are 2.60 underdogs with Stake. As a team who placed higher last split, Hanwha Life Esports deserve some respect, but they're widely inconsistent, which might make backing them less appealing.

  • Hanwha Life Esports are 2-1
  • KT Rolster have yet to win a game this split
  • KT Rolster have side selection

Head to Head

KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports have yet to meet this split.

Hanwha Life Esports Form

Hanwha Life Esports are a very strong team, but they have yet to figure out how to break into the elite few. Last split, Hanwha Life Esports placed third – in the regular season and playoffs – which is quite impressive, but they've not once looked equal to T1 or Gen.G.

This is a gatekeeper team in all senses of the word. In LCK 2024 Spring, Hanwha Life Esports dropped just four games as favourites – proving that while Hanwha Life Esports might not have what it takes to beat the top teams, they're very strong at crushing lesser squads.

This is largely due to how Hanwha Life Esports like to play. They won't be too active on the map and instead wait for their opponents to make mistakes  - which works well against weaker teams and not so much against stronger opponents.

Hanwha Life Esports Squad & Team News

No changes for Hanwha Life Esports.

  • Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon – top lane
  • Han "Peanut" Wang-ho – jungle
  • Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo – mid lane
  • Park "Viper" Do-hyeon – ADC
  • Yoo "Delight" Hwan-joong – support

KT Rolster Form

KT Rolster are not quite like Hanwha Life Esports. This is a competent squad, but even last split, KT Rolster were the LoL esports team that will slip against weaker opponents and do well against stronger teams – creating a rule where backing them as big underdogs and fading them as favourites would be the right play.

KT have a very high ceiling, but they rarely show it, indicating some degree of volatility, which is rarely a good thing. And to make it worse, KT Rolster haven't looked good so far this season, with three losses against Kwangdong Freecs, Dplus KIA, and Gen.G.

Admittedly, KT Rolster had a very tough schedule, so a 0-3 record isn't particularly terrible.

KT Rolster Squad & Team News

No changes for KT Rolster.

  • Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min – top lane
  • Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon – jungle
  • Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong – mid lane
  • Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu – ADC
  • Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee – support

Verdict

This is a weird game, as we have Hanwha Life Esports, who are usually very good at delivering when priced as favourites, and KT Rolster, who are very capable and typically outperform expectations when priced as underdogs.

Even with a 0-3 record, KT Rolster have shown some good things this split even though they had a very tough schedule to fight through. Hanwha Life Esports are another good team KT Rolster will struggle to beat, but considering how Hanwha Life Esports like to play and the fact that KT Rolster have side selection, siding with the underdogs at this price is a solid choice.
