League of Legends bookmakers have T1 priced as 1.72 favourites to defeat Hanwha Life Esports, who enter the match as 2.00 underdogs. Even though Hanwha Life Esports defeated T1 in their last two meetings, including once during the playoffs, it’s not too shocking to see T1 expected to win.

  • Hanwha Life Esports outperformed expectations during the LCK 2024 Spring Playoffs
  • T1 showed improvement in their last series
  • The winner will secure a spot at the MSI 2024

Head to Head

T1 and Hanwha Life Esports have met three times this split and once in the playoffs, when Hanwha Life Esports won 3-0.

  • T1 2-0 Hanwha Life Esports – January 28, 2024
  • Hanwha Life Esports 2-1 T1 – March 15, 2024
  • Hanwha Life Esports 3-0 T1 – April 4, 2024

T1 Form

T1 ended the LCK 2024 Spring regular season in a respectable second place, with 15-3 record and a 80% map win rate. Unfortunately, they’ve had a shaky start to their playoff campaign, with a 0-3 loss against Hanwha Life Esports in the second round.

T1 have since bounced back with a 3-0 sweep of Dplus KIA in the Losers’ Bracket, which set them up for a rematch with Hanwha Life Esports.

Losing against Hanwha Life Esports came as a bit of a shock, considering T1 performed much better during the regular season. But in that series, Hanwha Life Esports were simply the better team, which begs the question of what happened and there are two possible answers; either Hanwha Life Esports are that good or T1 didn’t have a good day.

However, after that rough loss, T1 completely obliterated Dplus KIA, which suggests that they might be back.

T1 Squad & Team News

No changes for T1.

Hanwha Life Esports Form

Hanwha Life Esports have had a solid run so far in the LCK 2024 Spring Playoffs. They crushed Kwangdong Freecs, and humiliated T1, before losing to Gen.G 1-3. Despite that loss, Hanwha Life Esports played well and while the final score might suggest Gen.G dominated, that wasn’t the case.

Some of it had to do with the fact that Gen.G played terrible. But they still won, which tells a lot about how big of a gap there is between the top LoL esports teams in the league and the rest. Hanwha Life Esports deserve some praise for what they’ve showed, but they ended up short in the end.

Hanwha Life Esports Squad & Team News

No changes for Hanwha Life Esports.

  • Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon – top lane
  • Han "Peanut" Wang-ho – jungle
  • Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo – mid lane
  • Park "Viper" Do-hyeon – ADC
  • Yoo "Delight" Hwan-joong – support

Verdict

Hanwha Life Esports defeated T1 in their last two meetings, and they played well against Gen.G. T1, on the other side, produced a heroic performance against Dplus KIA in the previous round, which should give everyone hope that they can take down Hanwha Life Esports in the rematch.

Even though Hanwha Life Esports won the last best-of-five series, T1 didn’t play well on the day, and with the improvement they’ve shown against Dplus KIA, we can expect a better version of T1 on Saturday. If that’s the case, they should defeat Hanwha Life Esports even though I wouldn’t expect a complete blowout.
