Zeyzal Is Close To Signing With Shopify Rebellion

Shopify Rebellion are a new organisation to enter the North American LoL league after it acquired the LCS slot from TSM in September 2023. With the slot acquisition, Shopify Rebellion also acquired contracts of all of TSM's former players. Including top laner Kevin "Hauntzer" Yarnell, jungler Lee "Bugi" Seong-yeop, mid lane David "Insanity" Challe, ADC Jason "WildTurtle" Tran, and support Jonathan "Chime" Pomponio, but it seems like the team will make some changes ahead of its debut.

Zeyzal has yet to be officially confirmed as the newest member of Shopify Rebellion; however, reliable sources have confirmed that he has already reached a verbal agreement with the team.

Zeyzal started his career in 2014 and is a familiar face for all LCS fans. He is mostly remembered as a member of Cloud9, which he was a part of on two separate occasions, in June 2018 – November 2019 as a player, and he also spent four months with the team as an assistant coach in July 2022 – November 2022.

During his first stint with the team, Zeyzal helped Cloud9 qualify for LoL World Championship 2018 and led the team to the semifinals, but he hasn't found much success since, jumping around several NA LoL esports teams, including Evil Geniuses and academy teams in Not Academy Team, SolaFide, Clouid9 Academy, and most recently, Disguised.

With Zeyzal's signing, Shopify Rebellion's 2024 LCS roster is slowly coming together, and according to reports, it'll look much different to the former TSM lineup.

Shopify Rebellion have already reached an agreement with top laner Aaron "FakeGod" Lee and decided to extend contracts with jungler Bugi, mid laner insanity, and coach Seong "Reven" Sang-hyeon. The only position Spopify Rebellion have yet to fill is ADC.
