FaZe Clan and W7M Esports became the first two Rainbow Six Siege teams to qualify for Esports World Cup 2024 by finishing top-two at Esports World Cup 2024: Brazil CQ on Saturday, June 29. The second pair of Brazilian squads to travel to Saudi Arabia will be determined later today, as Team Liquid clash with Black Dragons and Fluxo meet with FURIA Esports.

Esports World Cup 2024 is an upcoming esports tournament set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will consist of 19 esports games, each hosting separate events with mouth-watering prize pools.

Those include League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Teamfight Tactics, StarCraft II, and Rainbow Six Siege.

While some tournaments already have a full list of teams announced, it wasn’t until this Saturday that FaZe and W7M became the first two Rainbow Six Siege squads to qualify for the event.

The Six Invitational 2024 finalists were the first to pocket their Esports World Cup 2024 ticket by edging past Fluxo in a three-map thriller, which ended with FaZe Clan securing a close yet deserved reverse-sweep.

In the series, which included three overtimes, FaZe made it past Fluxo with 8-6 on Oregon and 8-7 on Skyscraper, cementing their status as one of the best Brazilian R6S esports teams.

Later, W7M Esports faced off against Black Dragons, who entered the match after disposing of the reigning world champions, FURIA Esports, in three maps. But despite their success in the first round, Black Dragons proved to be no match for W7M, who won the series with 7-2 on Chalet and 8-6 on Café.

By beating Black Dragons, W7M qualified for their first international tournament since selling their championship roster to FURIA Esports in February. FaZe, On the other side have become regulars at international events, so their attendance in Saudi Arabia is more of a formality.

With FaZe and W7M securing their tickets in Riydah, there are two more games left to be played in Esports World Cup 2024: Brazil CQ, as Team Liquid face off against Black Dragons and Fluxo looking to derail FURIA to secure one of the two remaining spots at the $2,000,000 event.

Esports World Cup 2024 will kick off on July 31, 2024, and conclude on August 4, when the top two teams will clash for the winner’s share of $750,000.
