Cloud9 vs 100 Thieves Predictions

Cloud9 and 100 Thieves will clash on Monday, April 22, in the third week of VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Americas League - Stage 1. It'll mark their first meeting of the season, and according to the esports betting odds, there is no clear favourite.

Valorant betting sites have Cloud9 and 100 Thieves priced at the same odds, suggesting that this should be a competitive affair. And based on what they've recently shown that might be a fair speculation.

  • Cloud9 are 3-0
  • 100 Thieves are 1-1
  • Both teams have shown some good things recently

Head to Head

This will be the first meeting between Cloud9 and 100 Thieves this season.

Cloud9 Form

Cloud9 have yet to lose a game in VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1. They've already beaten Leviatan (2-1), Evil Geniuses (2-1), and LOUD (2-1), and while Cloud9 weren't very convincing in either of the three series, they got the job done.

Against LOUD on Saturday, Cloud9 needed to produce a reverse sweep; however, they played well on Icebox and Lotus, beating the Brazilian team with 13-4 and 13-9. So, while they didn't look good on Bind, they more than made up for it with strong performances on the final two maps.

Cloud9 didn't have the best start to the season, as they finished VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff in seventh-ninth place. And even though they have yet to prove themselves as one of the league's top teams, Cloud9 are in good form.

Cloud9 Squad & Team News

Cloud9 with no announced changes.

  • Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
  • Francis "OXY" Hoang
  • Anthony "vanity" Malaspina
  • Kaleb "moose" Jayne
  • Dylan "runi" Cade

100 Thieves Form

100 Thieves started the 2024 Valorant esports season with a last-place finish in VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff. However, they won a map against Sentinels and Leviatan, so it's not fair to say they showed nothing.

Since the start of VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1, 100 Thieves have found a bit more success with a victory against G2 Esports (2-0) and a loss against Sentinels (0-2). But again, 100 Thieves showed some fight against Sentinels, winning ten rounds on Icebox, so while they've not managed any great results so far, 100 Thieves are slowly finding their rhythm.

100 Thieves Squad & Team News

100 Thieves have not announced any changes.

  • Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk
  • Sean "bang" Bezerra
  • Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban
  • Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic
  • Kelden "Boostio" Pupello

100 Thieves have won just one game this season against G2 Esports in the previous round of VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1. But even in most of their losses, 100 Thieves have looked somewhat good, suggesting that they are better than what their record might suggest.

Cloud9, on the other side, are 3-0 this stage with three 2-1 victories. So, while they've been getting the job done, Cloud9 also aren't untouchable.

Still, I would trust Cloud9 far more in this contest. They performed well against LOUD, and if they can keep playing at this level, Cloud9 will find themselves in the race for the VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1 title.
