Fnatic vs GIANTX Predictions

Fnatic and GIANTX will meet on Friday, April 12, in the second week of VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: EMEA Stage 1. The two European Valorant teams have yet to clash this season, and according to esports betting odds, Fnatic should win.

Valorant bookmakers have Fnatic priced as 1.22 favourites to defeat GIANTX, who enter the match as 4.00 underdogs. Neither team is in great form ahead of this match, but there's no questioning Fnatic's talent.

  • GIANTX have yet to win a game this season
  • Fnatic need this win

Head to Head

Fnatic and GIANX have yet to meet this season.

Fnatic Form

Fnatic were the most dominant Valorant team of 2023, but their form this season is underwhelming. Despite making no roster changes and keeping the same five players for the 2024 Valorant esports season, Fnatic have looked very shaky.

In the season-opening VCT 2024 EMEA Kickoff, Fnatic won just one game against Team Vitality but lost to Karmine Corp and missed their chance to compete at the VCT 2024 Madrid Masters. Last week, they added another defeat against Team Heretics for a combined 1-2 record since the start of the VCT season.

In their defence, Fnatic have so far lost only against the two finalists of VCT 2024 EMEA Kickoff. But for their standard, that's disappointing.

Fnatic Squad & Team News

No changes for Fnatic.

  • Jake "Boaster" Howlett
  • Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev
  • Emir "Alfajer" Beder
  • Leo "Leo" Jannesson
  • Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov

GIANTX are 0-3 since the start of the season with a defeat against FUT Esports and two losses against Karmine Corp. That includes a 0-2 loss against KC last week when GIANTX looked completely lost and unable to tame the French team.

Like Fnatic, GIANTX have only lost against some of the strongest teams in the VCT EMEA, so while their record doesn't look good, they deserve some slack for it. On the other side, GIANTX have also not performed well enough to make believing that they can take down some of the region's top teams justifiable.

GIANTX Squad & Team News

No changes for GIANTX.

  • Kirill "Cloud" Nehozhin
  • Adolfo "Fit1nho" Gallego
  • Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas
  • Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas
  • Igor "Redgar" Vlasov

Fnatic are objectively much stronger than GIANTX and have a significantly higher ceiling, as they proved in 2023. But they're not in good form, and their humiliating loss against Team Heretics in the first week of the season can't help.

GIANTX are justifiably underdogs for this match, but they're against a struggling team, so it's reasonable to believe GIANTX can win a map. They had a few good moments against FUT Esports and Karmine Corp, and if Fnatic don't step up, we could see GIANTX take a map.
