Gen.G vs ZETA DIVISION Predictions

Gen.G and ZETA DIVISION will clash on Monday, April 22, in the third week of VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Pacific Stage 1. It'll mark their second meeting of the 2024 season, and according to esports betting odds, Gen.G should win.

Valorant bookmakers have Gen.G priced as 1.10 favourites and ZETA DIVISION as 6.50 underdogs for this match. At these prices, Gen.G are given a 15.4% implied probability of winning the series, which is a very high number regardless of how good they've looked this season.

  • Gen.G are 2-20
  • ZETA DIVISION have won two of their last three games
  • Gen.G won the last meeting with ZETA DIVISION

Head to Head

ZETA DIVISION and Gen.G last met during VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, when Gen.G won.

  • Gen.G 2-0 ZETA DIVISION – February 22, 2024

Gen.G Form

Gen.G had a slow start to the 2024 Valorant esports season, with a close 2-1 victory against Rex Regum Qeon and a 1-2 loss to Paper Rex in the first two rounds of VCT 2024: Pacific Kickofff. However, then they found momentum and won nine consecutive series.

That stretch included four victories at VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, where Gen.G reached the finals but lost in a close five-map series against Sentinels.

Since their dominant run, Gen.G have slowed down a bit, and have managed an underwhelming 2-2 record across the first two weeks of VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1. That includes two 2-0 sweeps of Talon Esports and DetonatioN FocusMe and two defeats against Paper Rex and DRX.

Gen.G Squad & Team News

Gen.G have not announced any roster changes.

  • Kim "Meteor" Tae-o
  • Kim "t3xture" Na-ra
  • Kim "Lakia" Jong-min
  • Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom
  • Kim "Karon" Won-tae

ZETA DIVISION haven't done much so far this season. Even though they're 4-4 on the year, ZETA DIVISION have only beaten Global Esports (three times) and Bleed Esports across VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff and Stage 1.

The other four games – against T1, Gen.G, and Team Secret (two) all ended in losses. So, in other words, ZETA DIVISION has so far beaten only weaker teams, which gives me little hope they’ll be able to take on Gen.G.

Even in their last series against Bleed Esports, ZETA DIVISION failed to impress, winning the series with 13-9 on Sunset, 9-13 on Ascent, and 13-8 on Lotus. And while a win is a win, ZETA DIVISION should’ve done better against Bleed.

ZETA DIVISION Squad & Team News

No changes for ZETA DIVISION.

  • Koji "Laz" Ushida
  • Yuma "Dep" Hashimoto
  • Shota "SugarZ3ro" Watanabe
  • Hiroki "hiroronn" Yanai
  • Yushin "Yuran" Hato

ZETA DIVISION have not shown anything spectacular over the last two months. They’ve won four of the eight games played, but three were against Global Esports and one against Bleed Esports – and yet ZETA DIVISION didn’t look great in either of those series.

Considering ZETA DIVISION had to dig deep to make it past some of the weakest teams in VCT 2024: Pacific, they should have no business beating Gen.G who are serious candidates for the title of Pacific’s top squad.
