Valorant bookmakers have Leviatan priced as 1.40 favourites to defeat T1, who enter the series as 2.75 underdogs, which doesn't sound wrong. Even though both teams lost their Round 1 series, Leviatan showed more against a stronger opponent, suggesting they're better than T1.

  • T1 nearly beat G2 Esports in the first round
  • Both teams are capable of winning

Head to Head

T1 and Leviatan have never met before.

Leviatan Form

Leviatan are a competitive team, and they proved it during VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1. They topped Group Omega with an impressive 4-1 record and performed relatively well in the playoffs, although Leviatan couldn't make it past G2 Esports in the lower bracket final, where they lost 2-3.

With a strong win rate domestically, Leviatan deserve some praise. But it's also important to mention that even in some of their wins, Leviatan didn't look very clean. Particularly on offence, they have many flaws Leviatan need to work on.

This issue was noticeable in Leviatan's loss to Gen.G in the first round, granted they put up a fight, which is commendable.

T1 Form

T1 started the 2024 Valorant esports season with a third-place finish at VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff and claimed another top-three placement in the recently finished VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1.

Throughout the first stage, T1 showed some good things. They had a very slow start, winning just one of their first five series of the group stage, but then found more momentum in the playoffs, where T1 made it past Team Secret and even Gen.G, only to lose to Paper Rex and Gen.G in the rematch.

The small glimpses of greatness suggest that T1 are quite strong on a good day, but they tend to lack consistency. That was also noticeable in the first match of VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai, when T1 put themselves in a good position to defeat G2 Esports, only to lose the series in overtime.

T1 Squad & Team News

Verdict

Valorant bookmakers have Leviatan priced as heavy favourites to defeat T1, which seems fair from afar. They field a very stacked roster, which is capable of great things; however, we've not seen much from the South American side yet this season.

Lack of consistency and questionable decision-making on offence are Leviatan's main weaknesses, which T1 could look to take advantage of. Even though T1 are by no means a perfect team and just as inconsistent, they're an excellent pick at 2.75.
