The third stage of the Call of Duty League (CDL) comes to a close this week with CDL 2025 Major 3, taking place from April 24 to 27, 2025.

Hosted by Miami Heretics at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena in Boca Raton, Major 3 is the third LAN event of the 2025 Call of Duty esports season and one of the most exciting LANs so far, as it is, for many of the CoD teams, the final opportunity for them to secure enough CDL points to qualify for the Championship.
With high stakes and succeeding a very entertaining online stage, CDL Major 3 promises to offer four days of action that no esports fan should miss and plenty of betting opportunities to explore with the best betting sites.
CDL 2025 Major 3 Format
The CDL 2025 Major 3 format has not changed from the previous two Majors, except for the prize pool, which now sits at $365,000.
Moreover, the third Major will offer an increased number of CDL Points to compensate for the lack of a Minor tournament this split.
The Miami Heretics-hosted event will welcome all 12 CDL teams, who got seeded into a double-elimination bracket based on their placement in the online stage.
All games, except for the grand final, are played as best-of-five (BO5). The grand final will be played as best-of-seven (BO7).
The list of participants includes all 12 CDL teams; however, only eight have secured a top seed.

CDL 2025 Major 3 Favourites
Esports fans can find CDL 2025 Major 3 outright betting odds on a wide range of betting sites, including some of the more prominent crypto bookmakers, such as Stake.
According to the latest betting odds, Los Angeles Thieves (2.37) are the main candidates to win the Major, ahead of Atlanta FaZe (2.87), who will chase their third Major trophy of the season this weekend.
Seeing FaZe and Thieves sit atop the betting markets comes as no surprise, as the two squads have been in a class of their own for most of the season.
LA Thieves, in particular, have looked great over the last two stages; however, their performance in the last Major left a lot to be desired (4th-place). On the other hand, the Thieves have been close to unstoppable online with gold medals from Minor 2, Major 2 qualifiers, and Major 3 qualifiers.
Atlanta FaZe are a different story. While their online form is somewhat lacking, FaZe are back-to-back Major champions, having proven to the world that they are an entirely different beast on LAN compared to online.
FaZe and Thieves have proven to be two of the most consistent and successful teams, whether it’s online or on LAN. However, there are some other squads who have been slowly catching up, especially in the third stage of the season.
We are talking about the 2024 CDL Championship bronze medallists, Toronto Ultra (5.50), who turned on their jets of late.
They placed third in the Major 2 qualifiers and in the recent Major, showing good results in the online stage, where they managed a 4-1 record.
That included wins against both FaZe and LA Thieves.. Winning online and on LAN are two entirely different things, but Ultra have been ramping up and should be viewed as a serious threat for the trophy, especially if they manage to translate their online form to LAN.
Beyond Toronto Ultra, LA Thieves, and Atlanta FaZe, there are not that many outfits that are given a realistic chance to win Major 3, priced at 7.50 or over.
That includes Vancouver Surge (7.50) and OpTic Texas (13.00), who have had some moments this season, yet neither really broke into the elite teams or did, but failed to stay there for a long time.
Surge placed second in the last Major and claimed a silver medal from Minor 2. However, they’ve since started to show cracks and failed to improve at the same rate as some other outsiders.
OpTic Texas will always be a threat for big trophies, but with all the roster changes also came a long stretch of instability, which reduced their stock value quite a bit. At one point, OpTic could find traction, but they’re not at that level yet.
Of the remaining eight teams, none scream potential CDL 2025 Major 3 champions, and they’re priced accordingly by the top betting sites.
That especially holds true for the bottom four teams in Cloud9 New York, Vegas Falcons, Minnesota RØKKR, and Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, who will start their CDL Major 3 campaign in the lower bracket.
Even though the battle for the trophy will likely come down to a handful of teams, CDL 2025 Major 3 is an event every CoD esports fan should tune in and watch!
