BLAST Slam Format
BLAST Slam tournament format is very straightforward, divided into two stages – the group stage and the playoffs.
All 10 Dota 2 teams start their campaign in the group stage with two round-robin groups of five teams. All group stage games are played as best-of-one (BO1), and all 10 teams proceed to the playoffs.
The playoff seeding is determined by the teams’ placement in the group stage.
Group stage no.1 seed receives a direct invite to the semifinals, while the runners-up advance to the quarterfinals. Third-placed teams are seeded into Round 2, and the bottom two (4th and 5th) teams advance to Round 1 of the playoffs.
BLAST Slam playoffs are single-elimination with best-of-five (BO5) grand finals and all other games played as best-of-three (BO3).
