DreamLeague Season 26 is the second Dota 2 event of the DreamLeague series in 2025, featuring the world’s best 16 teams who will battle it out for the title and the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
The event will be the third online Tier-1 event of 2025 and the ninth Tier-1 tournament of the 2025 Dota 2 esports season.
As one of the most stacked competitions since the turn of the year, DreamLeague Season 26 promises to deliver with two weeks of top-tier Dota 2 action and plenty of betting opportunities to explore with the top esports betting sites.
And while the bookmakers have made it very clear that PARIVISION, Team Liquid, and Team Falcons are the three teams to beat, there are many other contenders who are more than capable of spoiling the plans of the favourites.
Yet, the question remains – who will come out on top and claim the DreamLeague Season 26 trophy?
DreamLeague Season 26 Format
DreamLeague Season 26 will use the same format as DreamLeague Season 25, with one small exception.
Out of 16 participating Dota 2 teams, four have received direct invites based on their position on the EPT Leaderboard, 10 had to qualify through regional qualifiers, and two secured their tickets via ACL X ESL Challenger China.
DreamLeague Season 26 will kick off with the first group stage, where all 16 teams will be seeded into two round-robin groups of eight.
All Group Stage 1 games will be best-of-two (BO2) with the top four teams from each group advancing to the next stage.
Stage 2 will have one eight-team single round-robin group with all games played as best-of-three (BO3).
The top four teams will proceed to the playoffs – the top two secure an upper bracket seed, and the rest get seeded into the lower bracket of the knockout stage.
The playoffs are double-elimination with best-of-five (BO5) grand finals and all other games played as BO3.

DreamLeague Season 26 Favourites
PARIVISION (4.33) are tied with Team Liquid (4.33) as the main favourites to win DreamLeague Season 26, according to the outright betting markets on the top betting sites.
PARIVISION started the year strong, with two third-place finishes at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1 and DreamLeague Season 25, before winning their first trophy at ESL One Raleigh 2025.
Since then, PARIVISION kept their foot in the race for Tier-1 trophies, adding a runner-up finish at PGL Wallachia Season 4.
The latter accomplishment is worth praise, but PARIVISION were not too happy about blundering in the grand finals, which they should’ve won.
However, their promising run of back-to-back grand final appearances ended at BLAST Slam III, where PARIVISION placed seventh-eighth, putting a question mark above them and their chances to deliver at DreamLeague Season 26.
Team Liquid are up there with PARIVISION as one of the biggest favourites to win DreamLeague Season 26. They’ve, however, been very inconsistent with their tournament placements.
Since the turn of the year, Team Liquid have won two big trophies – at PGL Wallachia Season 3 and Season 4, but have failed to place higher than top-five in the remaining six events. That includes an early elimination from BLAST Slam III at the start of this month.
Despite showing a severe lack of consistency, Team Liquid have shown high highs.
Much of the same applies to Team Falcons (4.50). While still titleless, the Falcons have placed top four in five out of eight Tier-1 events attended this season. That includes a runner-up finish at BLAST Slam III at the start of this month, when they lost to Tundra in the grand finals.
Tundra also bested Falcons in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1 finals, and BLAST Slam II and PGL Wallachia Season 25 semifinals.
With Tundra out of the picture, Team Falcons can feel hopeful that they can take the final step and win their first trophy, but they will have to hope they do not meet with PARIVISION and Team Liquid on a good day.
Gaimin Gladiators and Xtreme Gaming are the only remaining teams priced at single digits – at 7.50 and 8.50, respectively. Both have had their moments this season.
GG have placed top four in five events this season, including three grand finals. On the other side, Xtreme Gaming have yet to reach a Tier-1 podium, but have been dominating the Chinese region and have been ramping up.
Whether either of the two underdogs will manage to upset the field or not remains to be seen. But as DreamLeague Season 26 is an online event, no team should be counted out entirely.
