The League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA) North 2025 season resumes with Split 2, bringing back the action-packed schedule as North America’s top LoL esports teams battle it out for the coveted trophy and the right to represent the conference at the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup.

Featuring 10 League of Legends esports teams, the LTA North 2025 Split 2 is divided into three stages – Positioning Phase, Group Phase, and Cross Group Battles.

LTA 2025 Split 2 Format

The positioning phase will take place over Weeks 1-3, with a single round-robin format and all matches played as best-of-one. After the first phase, the teams will be split into two groups of four, constructed in a snake system.

The second stage – the group phase – will last through Weeks 4-6 with a single round-robin format and all games played as best-of-three (BO3).

The third and final stage (Cross Group Battles) will be held in the seventh week of LTA North 2025 Split 2, with the top two teams from each group playing each other for seeding. Meanwhile, the bottom two teams will play elimination matches.

All cross-group battles will be played as best-of-three (BO3,) and the top six teams will qualify for the playoff.

The unique format adds some more excitement to LTA North 2025 Split 2, but it should not shake up the balance of power too much, except for the added chance of upsets in the first phase due to BO1 games.

For the second split of the 2025 season, all the spotlight is set on FlyQuest, who are billed as the main favourites to win the league despite finishing the first split in third-fourth place.

Priced at 2.75 on the top betting sites, FlyQuest are given a solid chance to come out on top and claim the LTA North 2025 Split 2 title, which raises some questions, namely because there are two other teams who should be considered equal or better than FlyQuest.

Cloud9, like Team Liquid, should not be underestimated.

They ended LTA North 2025 Split 1 in third-fourth place after losing to Team Liquid in a closely contested semifinal.

As the LTA North 2025 Split 1 was relatively short, it is hard to make any firm conclusions on which team has the biggest potential, but it is easy to draw a line at FlyQuest, Team Liquid, and Cloud9 as the top candidates to win the league.
