Bilibili Gaming are a very good LoL esports team. They entered LoL Worlds 2024 as joint favourites with Gen.G, and they're on a good path to justify their tag as one of the top dogs. But the Chinese powerhouse slipped a bit in the previous round.

After their dominant victory against MAD Lions KOI, Bilibili Gaming kneeled in front of LNG Esports, who bested them in the second round. One loss does not mean that BLG have lost their rhythm or that they are less than one of the leading title contenders. But you have to question crypto bookmakers, who has them priced as 1.45 favourites for this match.

Mid laner Zhuo "knight" Ding is in excellent form, which makes it more believable that Bilibili Gaming have what it takes to smoke T1. But we're still talking about T1, who are, despite their recent hiccups, an elite team.

T1 lost their first match of LoL Worlds 2024 against Top Esports and then picked up an easy victory against paiN Gaming. This pair of results does not prove much, so it is easy to see why the community is not too excited about T1 and their chances to defeat Bilibili Gaming.

There are, however, reasons to believe T1 are a bit underrated.

This is a best-of-one series, perfect for T1, who are anything but consistent. T1 will play an excellent game one day only to underperform the next, and this variance works in their favour as T1, at their best, are more than capable of beating anyone.

They did not look too great against Top Esports, but T1 blew them game open and had they not choked, T1 would've won that series. Again, their issue is not lack of quality but lack of consistency.

Bilibili Gaming v T1

People are forgetting that this is a match between two elite LoL esports teams who can, on a good day, defeat anyone. T1 have been less consistent this season, which is a reason enough to doubt them, but lack of consistency should not be a good reason to fade underdogs in a BO1 game.

T1 also had a solid start against Top Esports when they took a huge early lead – and that is in this meta enough to win games more times than not. Things did not work out on the day due to silly mistakes, but the fact that T1 got such a massive lead speaks volumes.

Bilibili Gaming should be favoured, but at 2.70, you have to trust T1.
