BLEED Esports have had quite a turbulent start to their new project, struggling to reach the expected heights. But things have gotten much worse lately.

Over the last two months, BLEED Esports have not won or come close to winning a single competition. They placed fifth-sixth at Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters Fall 2024 at the start of August and have since crashed out of four consecutive qualifying Counter-Strike esports events, including Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European Qualifier A, never placing higher than top-nine.

At the Perfect World Shanghai Major, BLEED Esports won their first two series against TSM and Rhyno but lost the final three against Sangal Esports, Dynamo Eclot, and GamerLegion. This isn't too surprising, but still very disappointing.

B8 Form

B8 have had their moment of greatness this season. While we've yet to see B8 claim a significant event, they won Elisa Invitational Spring 2024 in May, CCT Season 2 European Series #5 in June, and they placed top four at HellCup #10 at the start of August.

Their most recent results are a bit more inconsistent. With two successful runs through ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024: European Open Qualifier and Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #2, and two early exits from the Shanghai Major and IEM Rio qualifiers.

Their most recent results, however, aren't that terrible. Despite being 2-3 from the last five, B8 won against ENDPOINT and SINNERS Esports, played a close series against 9INE and ALTERNATE aTTaX, and they put up some resistance against HEROIC in the IEM Rio qualifiers.

Overall, B8's recent run isn't the greatest, but they've shown some pulse.

Verdict

BLEED Esports v B8

Quality-wise, you can't really set B8 and BLEED Esports apart that much. BLEED Esports could be considered a team with a higher ceiling and even though we've not seen many great games from them, BLEED are the type of squad who will do well when they figure some things out.

The real question is, however, how much better B8 really are. They've shown more recently and seem to be on a good run. Yet at 1.65, you have to have a really good reason to back them over BLEED Esports.

This is still B8's game to lose, but BLEED Esports are good enough to show some fight and keep it close.
