Prior to that, they have won eight straight games, but against second-division Counter-Strike esports teams, such as BLEED Esports, 9Pandas, and Passion UA, so their past form doesn’t mean much here – as proven at BLAST Premier.

The lack of success in bigger events has become expected from Cloud9, who despite fielding a capable roster aren’t capable of finding much traction at the highest level. Yet most of the same applies to their next opponent, HEROIC.

HEROIC Form

HEROIC, like Cloud9, didn’t make it very far at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024. They exited the event in the first round with a loss against OG, marking yet another early exit from a bigger tournament after a 17th-20th-place finish at IEM Cologne 2024.

HEROIC are still without a tournament title this year and based on their recent results, this likely won’t change anytime soon. They’ve now failed to place top-six in four consecutive events - since Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 and enter this match with four wins from their last 12 series played.

However, unlike Cloud9, HEROIC have played tougher opponents over that stretch.

Cloud9 v HEROIC

Neither team is in great shape ahead of this series, which makes it hard to pick out a winner. Cloud9 have won more games of late, albeit against weaker opponents, whereas HEROIC’s success was very limited, yet they faced stiffer opposition.
