Complexity have shown some signs of life ahead of their ESL Pro League Season 20 campaign by winning ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024 and posting some promising results in the following bigger events.

Despite showing some pulse, Complexity never really established themselves as serious title contenders in S-Tier competitions, and this hasn’t changed despite what they’ve shown in the first two rounds of ESL Pro League Season 20.

In the opening round of ESL Pro League Season 20, Complexity lost to M80 (0-2) and then bounced back with a 2-0 sweep of Astralis in the first round of the mid bracket.

Overall, not a bad display, but it is still very evident that Complexity have a long way to go.

MOUZ Form

MOUZ entered ESL Pro League Season 20 as one of the main favourites to win the whole thing. They can still do it, but their start of the competitive endeavour has been anything but great.

In the first round of the tournament, MOUZ came extremely close to losing to Rooster in two maps but edged out a win on Vertigo (19-13) and completed the reverse sweep with 13-6 on Inferno. MOUZ did far worse in the second round, when they lost to Imperial Esports (0-2), and will now have to step up if they don’t want to be in a spot where they can suffer early elimination.

While this is a highly talented lineup with a high ceiling, MOUZ are in very bad form, and if they failed to defeat Imperial, then it is fair to question whether they can do well against Complexity,

MOUZ are the stronger team here, but they are in terrible shape and have struggled so much that it is fair to doubt their chances to having an easy time against Complexity.

Admittedly, Complexity have not been great over the last month, yet seeing MOUZ struggle against Imperial and even Rooster makes believing in Complexity to do well much easier.
