Fnatic enter the upcoming series priced as 3.40 underdogs while Dplus KIA are 1.30 favourites with esports betting sites. This comes as no surprise as Dplus KIA hail from a stronger region, albeit based on what the two teams have shown this season, we could be in for a scrappy affair.

Fnatic were arguably the best-performing team of the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), even though their placements domestically might not reflect it. It, however, had less to do with Fnatic being weaker than G2 Esports and more with Fnatic simply not being able to beat G2 Esports in the finals.

Domestic performances don't necessarily mean much as teams do much differently on the international stage, and that especially holds true for Fnatic, who enter LoL Worlds 2024 hoping to improve upon their showing at past international events where they proved to be "chokers" – another way to say they've severely underperformed when faced with international opponents.

Still, this is a capable team, and as long as they can perform as well as we know they can, Fnatic can do some damage.

Looking at their performances throughout the LCK splits, Dplus KIA have had both great and bad showings and have proved to be very inconsistent. On some maps, Dplus KIA posted elite-level numbers, only to fall apart on the next; their whole season was a bit of a headscratcher.

This is a good team, but for Dplus KIA to accomplish something, they'll need to find more stability.
