Fnatic vs GAM Esports Predictions
Fnatic and GAM Esports will meet on Friday, October 4, in the second round of the Swiss Stage at League of Legends World Championship 2024. Both squads lost their first series of the tournament, which puts them in an unenviable spot as they’re just two defeats from elimination.

Fnatic are expected to do well on Friday. They are priced as 1.36 favourites with the best crypto bookmakers, whereas GAM Esports are priced as 3.00 underdogs. Despite the team’s iffy performance on Thursday, Fnatic have a higher ceiling, which explains the offered price.
Fnatic choked against Dplus KIA on day one
GAM Esports are one of the weakest teams in the Swiss Stage
A must-win match for the European side
Head to Head
Fnatic and GAM Esports have yet to meet this year.
Fnatic Form
Fnatic lost to Dplus KIA in the first round of the League of Legends World Championship 2024 Swiss Stage, but it wasn’t an atrocious performance. They had a rough start, allowing Dplus KIA to run away with the lead on a scaling composition – which more or less sealed the deal.
But despite being in an essentially unwinnable position, Fnatic showed some fight and nearly got themselves back into the game, which is commendable.
This LoL esports team still have some thing to iron out if they wish to compete for a strong placement. However after such a painful defeat, Fnatic could not have hoped for a better opponent to bounce back.
Fnatic Squad & Team News
Fnatic have not made any roster changes.
- Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez – top lane
- Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz – jungle
- Marek "Humanoid" Brázda – mid lane
- Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek – ADC
- Yoon "Jun" Se-jun – support
GAM Esports Form
GAM Esports got run over by FlyQuest in the first round of the Swiss Stage, which more or less shows everything we need to know about GAM and their power relative to other teams.
While losing to FlyQuest does not guarantee GAM Esports will lose to Fnatic, the LEC representatives are a much stronger team than FlyQuest, so statistically, things don’t look great for the Vietnamese first seed.
GAM Esports looked very sharp in the play-ins but as noted before, they are bound to struggle in the Swiss Stage, where they’ll face teams of much higher calibre. This already happened in round one, and it will be even more noticeable in the second round of the Swiss Stage.
GAM Esports Squad & Team News
No changes for GAM Esports.
- Trần "Kiaya" Duy Sang – top lane
- Đỗ "Levi" Duy Khánh – jungle
- Nguyễn "Emo" Thái Vinh – mid lane
- Hứa "EasyLove" Thành An – ADC
- Phạm "Elio" Thạch Nhân Băng – support
Verdict
Fnatic are not a perfect team. They will make mistakes and shoot themselves in the foot – as seen in the first round of the Swiss Stage. But this does not take away from the fact that they’re a far superior team to GAM Esports.
There is no denying that VCS is not a very strong league, and considering GAM Esports are that much better than any other Vietnamese team, they’ve not had a chance to really improve throughout the season, nor were they properly tested until they clashed with FlyQuest. That test ended in a crushing loss.
If GAM Esports struggled against FlyQuest, they should have no business beating Fnatic.
