Gaimin Gladiators vs TSM Predictions

Gaimin Gladiators and TSM will lock horns on Wednesday, October 2, in the lower bracket quarterfinals at European Pro League Season 19. It’ll mark their second clash of the tournament, and according to the latest esports betting odds, TSM should win.

TSM are priced as 1.72 favourites to defeat Gamin Gladiators, who are 2.00 outsiders for the upcoming series. This is not too shocking as TSM won this series last week, albeit it was a very close series, so their success from the group stage won’t necessarily translate to Wednesday.

  • TSM defeated Gaimin Gladiators 2-1 last week
  • Gaimin Gladiators have a worse map pool
  • TSM (#45) are better ranked than Gaimin Gladiators (#60)

Head to Head

TSM and Gaimin Gladiators last met in Group D of European Pro League Season 19, when TSM won in three maps.

  • TSM 2-1 Gaimin Gladiators – September 25, 2024

Gaimin Gladiators Form

Gaimin Gladiators qualified for European Pro League Season 19 playoffs as no.2 from Group D, where they bested Permitta Esports (twice) and lost to TSM. Their playoff run, however, started with a rough 1-2 loss to Passion UA, to which GG added a close yet well-deserved victory against Johnny Speeds (2-1) on Monday.

Besides competing in European Pro League Season 19, Gaimin Gladiators also appeared in other events, namely the ESL Challenger Katowice 2024: European Open Qualifier and A1 Gaming League Season 9, where they have not looked too good with recent losses against Apogee (9-13) and Nexus Gaming (0-2).

It is also worth noting that Gaimin Gladiators have a poor map pool, with a positive win rate on just Ancient (53%), Nuke (64%), and Inferno (62%). That could be an issue, especially since TSM are more efficient on all maps but Nuke, where they’re 52% over a 21-map stretch.

TSM Form

TSM have done reasonably well so far at European Pro League Season 19. They won Group D with two victories against Permitta Esports and TSM, to which they added a 2-1 win over Illuminar Gaming in the upper bracket quarterfinal. Unfortunately, their run stopped there, as TSM lost to Apogee 0-2 in a very one-sided series (2-13, 7-13).

Besides competing at European Pro League Season 19, TSM have also made appearances in Elisa Invitational Fall 2024 and CCT Season 2 European Series #14, where they’ve beaten ALTERNATE aTTaX and DRILLAS, and lost to Sashi Esports.

A bit of a mixed bag of results for the Danish Counter-Strike roster, albeit they have shown some decent results of late, which explains why TSM are priced as favourites with crypto betting sites for their rematch with Gaimin Gladiators.

TSM Squad & Team News

TSM have not made any roster changes since mid-September.

  • Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss
  • Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand
  • Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen
  • William "sirah" Kjærsgaard

Verdict

TSM defeated Gaimin Gladiators during the European Pro League Season 19 group stage with a reverse sweep. It was a fairly close series, which could have ended the other way, so it is not entirely unlikely Gamin Gladiators will get their revenge.

On the other side, TSM have looked much more efficient in recent weeks, which justifies their tag as the favourites. With a much better map pool, TSM look set to defeat Gaimin Gladiators for the second time.
