Illuminar Gaming are in a very rough spot ahead of their clash with Preasy Esports. The Poles have not looked even remotely good of late, as they've not come close to winning a single Counter-Strike tournament despite competing mostly in B- and C-Tier tournaments and a few qualifiers.

Things have gotten even worse for IG lately, as they enter their upcoming series against Preasy Esports on a run of eight losses and just two wins and on a three-game losing streak. That includes losses against Dynamo Eclot (5-13), Ins (10-13), and Passion UA (0-2), who bested IG in the first round of European Pro League Season 19.

Considering their past showings, it is very hard to find a good reason to believe in Illuminar Gaming. Even though they are up against another struggling team, seeing them priced as such massive favourites raises a few questions.

Preasy Esports lost their first match of European Pro League Season 19 against 9INE in two maps. The series ended in a comfortable win for the favourites, yet we saw Preasy Esports show some resistance on Nuke, where they took 11 rounds but came out short in the end.

Preasy should've arguably won that map, yet they botched an 11-10 lead, as they were unable to contain 9INE's Ismail "refrezh" Ali and Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski, who took matters into their hands and led 9INE to victory with 1.58 and 1.52 performance rating.

It wasn't a terrible performance from Preasy, yet it marked yet another loss, now at six defeats over a 10-game stretch. The only four teams Preasy have managed to defeat over that run were Viperio, MASONIC, NAVI Youth, and ADEPTS, which isn't the most promising record to hold.

Illuminar Gaming v Preasy Esports

Illuminar Gaming and Preasy Esports are both in bad shape, yet the esports bookmakers have priced Illuminar as clear favourites. This makes some sense as IG have a higher ceiling, but that means very little as they've given us few reasons to believe in their potential.

Preasy have not beaten any decent teams of late, which is concerning, yet they've played a few close series, so it is not entirely unlikely for them to make Illuminar Gaming work hard for the win on Sunday.

We're getting 1.68 on Preasy Esports to take a map, which, considering IG's shaky form, is an excellent offer.
