Head to Head

Monte and MOUZ NXT have not met once this year.

Monte Form

Monte have had a bit of an up-and-down run through this year. They have not won a tournament since February, but did post some decent runs, namely with two semifinal appearances at CCT Season 2 European Series #5 and #6 earlier this summer.

Most recently, Monte also won ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024: European Open Qualifier and placed top-four at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #2, yet they had a much shakier run through Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European Qualifier A.

A competitive team on a good day, Monte are hardly more than a mid-level squad that isn’t extremely dominant when faced with other squads at their level.

Monte Squad & Team News

No roster changes for Monte.

  • Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek
  • Paweł "dycha" Dycha

  • Kamil "KEi" Pietkun

MOUZ NXT Form

Like Monte, MOUZ NXT have not won a Counter-Strike esports tournament since very early into the season. More recently, however, their success has been limited to a few top-eight finishes.

At the end of July, MOUZ NXT finished top-four at RES European Series #6, which is impressive. Since then, their most notable achievements include two top-eight finishes at CCT Season 2 European Series #6 and HellCup #10.

On a more positive note, MOUZ NXT are in good form. They have a +60% win rate this month and have picked up some solid victories. However, most of their recent series came against lower-division Counter-Strike esports teams.

MOUZ NXT Squad & Team News

MOUZ NXT have recently released Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard. Coach Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo will likely stand-in.

  • Oldřich "PR" Nový
  • William "sirah" Kjærsgaard
  • Ryan "Neityu" Aubry
  • Denis "Burmylov" Buraga
  • TBA

Verdict

MOUZ NXT have looked quite capable over the last few weeks. However, they also lost their in-game leader at the start of the month and will likely be forced to play with their coach TOBIZ.

This isn’t optimal, and as seen in their recent outings, the overall quality of their performances has dropped a bit. Still, it is not the first time MOUZ NXT will be playing with TOBIZ, and even with this handicap, they have done well against other teams of similar quality.

Another thing to note is that Monte has a pretty full schedule this week, which should lead to some fatigue and a lack of preparation. This makes it easier to believe this will be a closer affair.
