Monte are priced as 1.80 favourites with the top Counter-Strike bookmakers, while Passion UA enter the series as 1.90 underdogs. As this is still a clash between two second-tier squads, the rather insignificant price difference makes sense, albeit Monte have shown higher highs this season.

Monte enter the first round of YaLLa Compass Summer 2024 in a somewhat shaky form. They have won six of their last ten series, albeit only two of the last six – against ENCE (2-1) and UNiTY (13-6). The other four, against B8 (0-2, 0-2), KOI (9-13), and Dynamo Eclot (7-13), all ended in defeats.

This isn't the most exciting record to hold, but Monte still have a shot at finishing Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European Qualifier A inside the top eight and securing a spot in the European RMR.

Before the recent slump, Monte have posted some solid results. They won ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024: European Open Qualifier and placed top-four at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #2.

Passion UA Form

Passion UA made it to YaLLa Compass Summer 2024 Main Stage by placing top of the Contenders Stage with wins against Nexus Gaming (2-0), Dynamo Eclot (2-1), and EYEBALLERS (2-1). While they've not met any exceptional teams over that stretch, Passion UA are in good form.

The Ukrainian Counter-Strike esports team also posted solid results ahead of this clash, with a 3-1 record from their last four, which includes one loss against Cloud9 (10-13) and three wins against BIG (13-3), ARCRED (19-17), and OG (2-1).

Passion UA also accumulated a fair amount of wins earlier this month, yet mostly against weaker opponents. Yet, while their results from three weeks back aren't as exciting, Passion UA look to be in solid shape ahead of this spectacle.

Verdict

Monte v Passion UA

Monte and Passion UA are both fairly competent Counter-Strike teams, which explains why they're priced relatively close for this series. Monte have shown higher highs and arguably have a higher ceiling, but we can't look past Passion UA's solid form, which should indicate that they are ready to do some damage on Tuesday.

At 1.85 for this series to extend to three maps, betting sites give us a couple of bets worth checking out. However, it is also hard to look past Passion UA at 1.90 with Stake.
