100 Thieves enter this match as 2.30 underdogs with the best LoL esports betting sites who have PSG Talon as 1.60 favourites. Based on the teams' recent showings, that offer sounds fair.
- 100 Thieves have looked very shaky of late
- PSG Talon have underperformed
- The loser gets sent home
Head to Head
This will mark the first meeting between PSG Talon and 100 Thieves.
PSG Talon Form
PSG Talon were billed as the strongest LoL esports team heading into the play-in stage, yet they're not facing elimination from the tournament after losing to MAD Lions in the upper bracket qualification match.
That was a weird series, which should've arguably ended in PSG Talon's favour, so while PCS champions are 1-1 (with one 2-1 victory against paiN Gaming), they look to be in a fine spot to defeat 100 Thieves on Sunday.
Based on PSG Talon's recent performances, they remain the strongest team of the play-ins, especially as they outplayed MAD Lions yet made one critical error, which cost them the win. So, as long as PSG Talon can perform at the same level on Sunday without making silly mistakes, it is tough to doubt them.
PSG Talon Squad & Team News
No roster changes for PSG Talon.
- Huang "Azhi" Shang-Jhih – top lane
- Yu "JunJia" Chun-Chia – jungle
- Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang – mid lane
- Lu "Betty" Yu-Hung – ADC
- Lin "Woody" Yu-En – support
100 Thieves Form
100 Thieves lost their first match of the play-ins against Movistar R7, which was quite a shocking loss but a well-deserved one. 100 Thieves are just not a very good team and their tag as no.3 squad from the LCS sounds better than it is.
On a more positive note, 100 Thieves took down SoftBank HAWKS on Saturday, which again looks very good but really isn't. HAWKS lost that series themselves, so it was not so much 100 Thieves playing well or even remotely good.
So far, 100 Thieves have yet to prove they're anything but the weakest North American LoL esports squad attending the tournament and a very volatile and flawed team. They'll have their moments, but more times than not, 100T will collapse against capable teams.
100 Thieves Squad & Team News
No changes for 100 Thieves.
- Rayan "Sniper" Shoura – top lane
- Kim "River" Dong-woo – jungle
- Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung – mid lane
- Frank "Tomo" Lam – ADC
- Bill "Eyla" Nguyen – support
Verdict
It is hard to make a strong case for 100 Thieves for this series. While PSG Talon have been anything but perfect so far this tournament, they have looked much stabler than 100 Thieves and they field a more stacked and experienced roster.
Had it not been for one critical error, PSG Talon would've already been through the Play-Ins. 100 Thieves, on the other side, can be happy they've made it so far.
