T1 vs Hanwha Life Esports Predictions
T1 and Hanwha Life Esports will clash in the lower bracket finals at League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2024 Summer Playoffs. It will be a rematch from the second round of the playoffs when Hanwha Life Esports won, and according to the esports betting odds, they should win again.

The best League of Legends bookmakers have T1 priced as 2.60 underdogs to defeat Hanwha Life Esports, who are 1.48 favourites. Considering T1's shaky showings in the latter stages of the season and their loss to Hanwha Life Esports in the second round, that sounds about right, but there are stylistic differences that will come into play.

- T1 are slowly gaining traction
- Hanwha Life Esports' style of play should not work
Head to Head
Hanwha Life Esports and T1 have met twice in the summer split and both ended in favour of HLE.
- Hanwha Life Esports 2-0 T1 – July 20, 2024
- Hanwha Life Esports 3-0 T1 – August 29, 2024
T1 Form
T1 were priced roughly at 2.40 in their last meeting with Hanwha Life Esports when they lost 0-3 and are now at 2.60 to get their revenge. This makes little sense, even though HLE won the last affair.
T1 played well in that series and could've easily won. Then they added a fairly convincing win against Dplus KIA. The first map was one-sided in favour of Dplus KIA, but the rest went very much in T1's favour.
One good game doesn't prove a lot, but it could be an indication of T1 finally waking up. And if that is the case, they should stand an excellent chance to defeat Hanwha Life Esports, mainly due to the stylistic differences.
T1 Squad & Team News
No roster changes for T1.
- Choi "Zeus" Woo-je – top lane
- Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun – jungle
- Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok – mid lane
- Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong – ADC
- Ryu "Keria" Min-seok – support
Hanwha Life Esports Form
Hanwha Life Esports have looked very solid in the latter stages of the season. More notably, they beat T1 and put up a great fight against Gen.G in the previous round but bungled their chances and lost 1-3. Despite the loss, they still performed well.
Even though Hanwha Life Esports have been performing way better than expected over the last few weeks, they are still the same team we know from before. They prefer to counter-punch rather than look for their own opportunities, which is one of the main reasons why HLE typically don't do well when faced with a strong LoL esports team.
This was less prevalent during this split, yet if we assume T1 are back to their old ways, Hanwha Life Esports should not have an easy time winning on Saturday.
Hanwha Life Esports Squad &Team News
Hanwha Life Esports have not announced any roster changes.
- Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon – top lane
- Han "Peanut" Wang-ho – jungle
- Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo – mid lane
- Park "Viper" Do-hyeon – ADC
- Yoo "Delight" Hwan-joong – support
Verdict
At this price, it's underdog or pass. Even though T1 lost to Hanwha Life Esports 0-3 last week, that result doesn't mean much in the big picture as it could've easily ended the other way.
Hanwha Life have been more consistent, though, which is a plus. On the other side, this doesn't explain the offered betting odds, which priced T1, an elite team, as quite big outsiders. Assuming both teams play above average – to what we've seen this split – T1 should come out ahead more times than not, so passing on them at 2.60 makes little to no sense.
