Team Liquid have been posting great results since May when they placed second at the CCT Season 1 Global Finals. They finished Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 in seventh-eighth and recently added another top-eight finish at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024.

While not quite one of the elite teams yet, Liquid have made a name for themselves as a dangerous side, even in the biggest tournaments. Form-wise, Liquid are in a decent spot, too having won seven of their last ten series – however, it is important to note that Liquid had one minor slip-up just over a week ago when they lost to Legacy (1-2) at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: North American Qualifier.

Outside of that, the international lineup have looked excellent over the last three months.

ENCE are in abysmal form ahead of their first ESL Pro League Season 20 match. They've managed just three victories over a 10-game stretch, and even those came against Lazer, CS2N, and ENTERPRISE – nothing to write home about.

On the other hand, ENCE have lost to PARIVISION, 500, kONO.ECF, KOI, UNiTY, Monte, and Young Ninjas. With those results on their record, it is more than fair to question whether ENCE have what it takes to accomplish anything among the world elite Counter-Strike teams in Malta.

ENCE field a good enough roster to compete at the highest level, but success has been hard to come by for them for a while now. Benching coach kuben has not helped them one bit, and while ENCE should find more success with time, their form ahead of their clash against Liquid is highly concerning.

Team Liquid have been trending up for a while now and seem ready for another deep run at ESL Pro League Season 20. While they have recently had a shaky display against a weaker opponent, it seems highly unlikely for them to give away too much against the struggling ENCE.
