Team Vitality are one of the strongest Counter-Strike esports teams in the world and one of the leading candidates to win BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024. They have posted great results since the end of the summer break, including two titles from Fall Groups and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024.

However, despite their excellent form, Vitality slipped at ESL Pro League Season 20, where they crashed out in the semifinals with a 1-2 loss against Eternal Fire. It was a disappointing run for the Bees, albeit not a big reason for concern, as it marked their first defeat over a 12-game streak.

Astralis have struggled to accomplish much over the last three months, with a couple of fifth-sixth-place finishes at BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 and Fall Groups 2024, ninth-12th at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, and most recently, 21st-28th-place finish at ESL Pro League Season 20.

The dry streak has led to roster changes last week when Astralis benched Alexander "br0" Bro and brought in Casper "cadiaN" Møller as a new in-game leader. As Astralis have yet to play an official match with cadiaN, it is hard to say how this change will work out – but in theory, the Danish in-game leader should be a major boost for Astralis.

If things fall into place, Astralis could emerge as one of the world's top Counter-Strike teams once again.

Team Vitality enter BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 in excellent form, having beaten 11 of their last 12 opponents. That includes two victories against Astralis, albeit that might not mean much as Astralis have recently improved their roster with a new in-game leader.

We've yet to see Astralis play with cadiaN, so there are some unanswered questions. Nevertheless, it is not unreasonable to believe Astralis can do well on Wednesday, as they have been recently posting competitive games.
